here are a few pics of the aviary, there are 20 budgies in it. at night, the blinds go down this is how i put the nesting boxes in the spring (and the fan in the summer heat!) i will take some pic's to show what we did to "winter" the aviary

yes it is, that way if the wind or sun gets too bad, it can roll under the covered patio more. Mr b made it!

Heres the "winter" box we added. It has a heat lamp attached to the top, and is inclosed on the top and all but the front sides. there are 3 different perches for them.

wheres your door... is that the bottom half in the 2nd pic? i'd hate crouching down t climb in and out !
im trying to make matt make me a little door for my hands so i dont have to walk in all the time.... but no sucess yet....

yup, thats it, 1/2 way down on the left side. since they fly up, there is less change of them flying out. then i have a little one to put my arm thru on the front. that i use to chuck in millet etc.

sorry, that last pic i posted is soooo dark on my screen, you cant really see the winter box! pluss its so darn big, im having a heck of a time resizing on photo bucket!

where its on the cement on the patio, it makes it really easy to clean under (since we have damn rats!~not that I dont like rats, they are fine as pets, but wild one carrying diseases, no thanks!)
