Hello!! I know, I know, I haven't been here for ages. I'm a bad girl. But here I am.... and here's my cage, home to 4 budgies. The cage is a Tall Speedy cage, designed for chinchillas / rats, but it makes a great bird cage and is reasonably priced too, much cheaper than Ferplast Indoor aviaries. It's 100cm wide, 100cm high and 55 cm deep. The roof has bars, essential for hanging toys / swings etc. The birdies love it, and they even play on the floor regularly too. Here you go: Top half: Bottom half: They've since had another manzanita perch as well, instead of one of the dowel ones, plus a few different toys. The little bright green bird at the front on the manzanita perch is Angelica, the white bird on the swing at the back is Lil, the green bird at the back perch at the top of the cage is Tommy and the yellow bird on the right hand side at the top is Phil.

Hi! Yes, it's very easy to clean - there's two doors on it which even have small doors within them for easy access. Also, the pan just slides out at the bottom, with a floor underneath so there's no chance of escapes when you don't want them. I use newspaper lining and then birdsand on top of that for the floor. The newspaper makes it easier to change the sand as all I have to do is fold up the newspaper with the sand inside.
The roof I don't bother to screw on (there's no way they could lift it off at the end of the day!) so I can easily take it off for better access when I want to. The whole thing's on wheels, so it's easy to move about.
I had a Ferplast Brio Medium before this, which was fine, but not as wide, and I missed being able to hang things from the roof. I much prefer this type of roof.

My birds? Spoilt? Never! Umm.. They do play with all the toys they have though, so I like to get them something new regularly. The only problem is finding decent quality toys I find. Why is it that toys for budgies are rubbish compared to the well-made huge range that there is for parrots?! 24parrots website is great though. But sooooo tempting......! It's nice to be back.

ooh i have just bought the one with the roof, and even though i have added some sticky hooks on the inside to hang things from, i need to get some better ones. Great cage, and i would too spend a fortune with alot of sites, but the thing that puts me off is the postal charges. Still a few days to go... go in for our competition, and you might win first prize. New toys! Feathered pets is great, and Graham is very helpful. Also dont forget to try his Ebay shop, as he has different things on there too. good to see you again

Thanks everyone. I've visited featheredpets - Graham's actually based very near to where I live, funnily enough. He he Scully, that's the trouble with postal charges, you see, I find myself thinking 'well I might as well spend a lot of money as the postal charge is the same regardless, may as well get value for money', which means I spend even more......... Will steer clear of all temptation for a while, as I placed a large-ish order for the wild birdies today. Still, that sort of benefits the budgies too, as they love to hear the wild birds in the garden. Oh, and Scully, should you get totally fed up with your Brio roof, I know of a few people that have replaced it with mesh. I even know of someone who has had a roof made to fit complete with a door in a Ferplast Duetto cage, which is what I hope to do with my Duetto. Yes, I have rats and degus (totally separate!!) in a bird cages and budgies in a chinchilla cage..... Lol! I used the plastic perches to hang things from by placing them right at the top of the cage with the Brio - in the Duetto they are used to hang hammocks for the rodents! But I'm now waffling randomly. Hmmm, sure you missed me?!
