What the diffrence between girl and boy?
What are the best toys to buy?
What food do you give ur budgie?
Why did you buy a budgie?
Did anyone tell you not to buy one?
How much did you spend the 1st time u bought 1?
What do you like and dislike about them?
How long have you had one?

Well, I'm no pro. But I have had multiple budgies for several years, so I'll do my best. The difference between genders is in the cere color. The cere is the little fleshy part right above the beak. In regular males, this is a blue color, and regular females have a whitish to dark brown color. This is just general since some mutations have special exceptions. I don't want to accidently give wrong information, so I'll let someone else explain the exceptions. My budgies' favorite toys are the little lattice balls with bells. I give my budgies a plain seed mix that I buy in bulk, and supplement that with well washed greens, veggies, and cuttlebone. I first bought a budgie because my older brother used to have a pair when I was really little, and I wanted to have one again. Nobody told me not to buy one. I spent fifteen American dollars for my first parakeet, but depending on where you are and what kind of store or breeder you go to, that can vary quite a bit. I don't really have any dislikes about them, but I'm in love with my birds, so that isn't really a surprise. They sing beautifully and keep me entertained with their clowning around. They are also fairly easy to tame if you get them at the right age. I've had budgies for around five years I think. WHOA that was a long post... Hope what I said made sense.

1) as Budgiebuddy said 2) buttons likes the wooden toys with rope tassle bits on, sherby just doesnt like toys full stop - but will sit and play with my hair or a zip on clothes for hours! 3) budgie seed mix plus a fresh pot f fruit and veg each day 4) Ive had a budgie for as long as i can remember, my mum started me on them by buying me one when i was 5 and ive hardly ever been without one ever since 5) nope 6) the first one i bought myself that wasnt a gift cost me £12 7) i love their character and the fact that they are so easily cared for 8) the longest i have kept a single budgie is 8 years, my eldest budgie is 11 this month but ive only had him for the last 3 years as he was a rescue budgie
