How much do you think you should let it out each day Blaine?

LOL don't worry Blaine - it's an ongoing issue that hasn't been caused by yourself, you are innocent. It is just something that many an Aussie cannot let pass - it is ingrained in our bones I guess you could say. This is not the first time I've jumped on my Soap Box and I bet anything it won't be the last. Some say I should cool off with a couple ;D others say I just need

If that is all you have available for the little one then it will appreciate every moment you can give it.

Yep I agree with Karen as well. It seems breeders in other countries are fond of changing our birds names. Wonder where the term 'rock pebbler' came from in relation to regent parrots. Also a pet hate is getting told by people on US forums (no disrespect to any from the US here as it's never happened here) that I can't use the term 'galah' , that I must call them 'rose breasted toos' They are galahs and always have been here in Oz where they are an icon.

I can give the budgie about 1 hr. 15 mins at the most each day. I don't know how much time out of it's cage per day it should have. I though 45 was a good round number. So, how much time should the budgie have out of it's cage per day?

As much time as you can Blaine. People that are always home often have them out for most of the day. Make sure your cage is big enough and there's plenty of toys which you can change around every week or 2 so it doesn't get bored with the same ones. Dont feel bad is you can't give it lots of time out as most of us have days where out birds never get out, any time out will be very much appreciated.
