Well, Mr O pretends to be harsh but actually he is a real softie... he admitted to me on Sunday that he missed having Bertie around!!!! I could hardly believe my ears!!! He was quite happy for me to get one and the breeder turned up with two (Mr O was safely at work!) and I just couldn't choose so he said he'd do me a deal, I got both for £70 (ssshhh don't tell Mr O!!). Then when he got home from work he was mad for all of about 10 mins until George, the softer and gentler of the two went to see him and that was it!!! hehehe!! He has spent all evening talking to them and Mal! I think he has a bit of a soft spot for Mal actually! I have been told in no uncertain terms though that I am not allowed any more but thats fine with me, I am happy with all my babies and want to make sure I am able to spend lots of good quality time with all of them! The flock is up to 5 now!! I wonder if Puku knew what she would be starting?!!

Such a shame you were a day early Donna or we could have twisted Mr Scullys arm together with the birds to convince him and you could have had one!!

I just love them sooo much, I love having birdies who will sit with you for ages!! The kaks are intrigued by the new noises in the house and when the tiels whistle the kaks immediately shut up and tilt their heads listening... its so cute! Fred and George sit there on my arm lightly nibbling my skin, trying to pick up my freckles and it tickles so much that I have to sit there frozen or I would shake them off laughing, and scare them half to death!! hehe!

Expect to have them DEMANDING head scratches soon! They only get tamer too! Mine start yelling at me as soon as my car hits the driveway. I come in, open the cage, and have 2 fly straight to me #heart# This morning Cheekyboy actually flew onto my shoulder! It was soooo sweet, til he started regurgitating seed to me #embarassed# #embarassed# #embarassed#

They don't seem to like head scratches! I have tried a few times and they just make angry little noises at me and bite my finger (not hard)! Maybe they will learn to love them?! I am already having so much fun with them... they are just little sweethearts! Fred is a bit of a bully though and pushes George around a bit. How old do they have to be before you can tell the sex? They both have quite pale cheekies specially compared to Bertie but do they change after their first moult?

Yep you wont tell until theyve moulted a male will get a bright yellow face and a females will stay pretty much the same as it is now.
