we've put it down to frustration at not being able to fly angela, he only plucks after he crash lands flat on his face after attempting a lift off so hopefully once his flight feathers grow back the plucking will stop (crossed fingers!)

I can understand that about Harrys frustration, as sometimes i can feel it with Graham. My Budgies enjoyed thier mini hay rack, and they are cheap, it may give him something to nibble with. Cant you buy a spray to stop them, one that has a nasty taste. As for little Jamie....tell him Aunty Donna says hello

i will have a look for the mini hay rack - anything is worth a try! i tried buying those sprays but that bird will eat ANYTHING and it didnt deter him at all, i even tried to put the baby (or not so baby now) kak in with him and thought that maybe company would help but he was scared of her lol so we took her out. i feel so sorry for him that he is the most spoilt of all our birds, he is out most of the day sitting either on the laptop or on his swing hanging from our light #rolleyes#
oh and i said aunty donna says hello to jamie and i got "me see donna and mike!" in reply lol
i also said aunty lin says hello jamie and i got "me see nomeno" so you better get going with those pics lin lol

Oh Ive just caught up with this one.
Poor Harry plucking - isnt it awful Sal. Does he yelp everytime he plucks. Barnslee does and she eats the feathers too. Im trying everything and she is still plucking as bad as ever. The Aloe Vera baths seem to curb it for a few hours. I hope Harrys flights grow back quick and that its stops him plucking. At least then he would have a reason to do it. My Barnslee girl isnt improving at all.

he doesnt yelp at the time Booms but he does make himself sore and we're not allowed to touch it or we get bitten (hard!). he must eat them cos there is never any left around and with the amount he has plucked there should be a pillow full by now lol.
poor Barnslee, she really is having a hard time of it #cry# i wonder if it is an adolescent thing with barnslee? she didnt do it when she was younger so maybe its just a rebellion teenage type phase? im no expert at all - just clutching at straws lol
hope barnslee stops soon #cheesy#

Barnslee eats them too which is a sign of a calcium deficiency which I supplement her with but doesnt make her stop. She has always been plucked Sal since I got her. I knew she was but thought it was the situation she had been left in. It ha dobviously scarred her or wasnt the issue at all.
Try some Calcivet in his water thats what I use and it might help - worth a try eh?

Thats ok Sal Ive tried so many things, I also use Nutrobal supplement in food and sometimes Feather Up but the Calcivet seems the best. But if he doesnt stop try the Aloe Vera baths Barnslee smells like a baby when Ive bathed her hehe!
