i have just been out and cheaked the tiel babies and i think they are negleting one of them crop is empty and has been left out in the cold i have lefted in their for another half hour to see weather mum is out too get food for it or not if not i will be bringing inside but i have a problem all shops are closed and i have not rearing mix what eles could i give it until tomorrow if their is anything?

The weetbix and water. Might need to be syringe fed though, in which case mix some egg and biscuit mix with water. Just a tip, tiels like their food about 100 deg F, so make it slightly warmer than you would for a human baby

thats great news Shell!! When we had a similar emergency we blended down some egg food mix we had in the cupboard for the older birds and gave them that - it done the job till the shops opened for some h/r food

well im happy to say we made it though the night he having some sort of crop problem i think im get advise on it but i think im a worry wort just worry worry worry

him making it through the night is a big step! your allowed to worry - its a mum thing lol i hope his crop problem isnt too serious, keeping my fingers crossed for him #heart#

That is great news Shell. Nope you are not a worry wort at all, us new mums go through it all the time with small bubs LOL. I am sure you will get on top of the slow crop problem . No easy feat trying to h/rear a 4 day old bub and all the things that can happen but I am sure you will be receiving lots of good advise from the various forums you are on. all the best and keep us posted.
