Here is my animal mad daughter Louise with a bearded dragon she found in the yard. She is always catching things, lizards, praying mantis, frogs etc, and wanting to keep them as 'pets'. She wants to be a vet when she grows up.

I am stoked that she is so much an animal lover, I think some of my influences mustve rubbed off onto her. Only problem is, she seems to think that she can keep all of these critters in her bedroom - free ranging, lol. Her goal is to own a pet snake, but like them as I do, I really don't want one in the house, I prefer them outside in the bush. My husband took a photo of my two girls with a snake around their shoulders, it isn't digital, so I'll have to find it and scan it onto here.

no, she doesn't seem to have any fear of animals. I was a wildlife carer up until she was about 6, and she has been surrounded by all kinds of furries and scalies since she was a baby. She will just go and pick up a dragon, or a gecko or frog or whatever and carry it around all day. However, she does respect animals, and has a healthy regard for snakes and knows she isn't to touch them unsupervised, even if they aren't venemous. Here is a pic of our little kitten, she lives inside, and is only allowed out if she is on her harness so the wildlife isn't under threat from her.

lol, we actually had one here that had a forked tail. It looked like the original tail had partially broken off, but not completely, and a new one had grown. Devil Gecko!!!

It's great that your daughter is so intune with animals. She'll make a fabulous vet, I reckon. Yep, gotta agree with you about gheckos. We have a few that walk around the outside walls of our Queenslander, and the cockroach population is quite under control.

We have heaps of lizards around. Haven't seen our resident dragon for a few years though, hope he didn't die. I scared the daylights out of my parents one day by bringing him down from the back yard for a visit. I was quickly ordered to return him to the yard.
