okay so where do i start...oh of course.., quick pose for the camera Now... loosen all feathers with a stretch, feels good, and lets the air in. Quick check of the nails, as they are necessary for holding feathers firmly...mmm excuse the blue feet , its a new blue perch my humans put in my cage( when do they ever learn) Bend your head round and down, while keeping a firm grip on humans fingers Right down, ..as you need a little oily nibble of your gland first Grab hold as im doing..still keeping firm grip on human fingers..like this and this and pull! all the way round, .....letting slip through the beak till end till the very tip of your tail feather now this is the really tricky balancing bit, holding on while nibbling and cleaning the tip ouch! ....Darn.it pinged back Human fingers can be a bit wiggly so you may have to find a firmer perching place to do the job properly Chest feathers are important too there...now you try

Oh Scully What fabulous pictures. My budgie Minty does this to anyone who isn't paying attention. He gabs someones tail in his foot and grips hard then very gently preens the other birds tail. The other birds don't tend to enjoy it as much as he does. He does it to wing tips too. Trouble is Mint will pull the tail/wing round to a position that suits him rather than a compfy position for the owner He's such a tail man. Billie xx
