hi Jake and Jessie have letting us know that they wish to breed again :-/only thing that i am concerned about is that they are sharing a cage with Fluff (their son) and Bobby. I'm not sure if it will be ok or if the other 2 males will interfere? Does anyone have any advice please?

Alexandra ....if your going to let them breed, id be thinking of moving the others out, its not that they will interfere its more that Jake will become a bully when there are eggs and you may see some feather loss.

I know its been a while since my last post on this topic but i have finally set Jake and Jessie up with a cage of their own and a new nest box. I have just transfered them and poor Fluff is going bonkers i feel so bad that he isnt happy/ He hasnt been apart from them for ages so i need to find something to take his mind off it. Does anyone have any ideas how i could cheer him up. i will give him some fruit and see if it helps but at the moment he isnt interested in food......bless him Jake has been in the nest box exploring too so i hope they will mate soon. They did try a few days ago but Fluff interfered too much so i dont think it was successful!! Will let you all know when we get eggs!

Only thing you can do is heap the attention onto him. He is going to pine and scream as he doesn't understand what's happening. I hope Jake & Jessie do well for you.

i bought Fluff a new toy today.. he has calmed down a little today too. he isnt as noisy as yesterday and isnt pacing up and down the perches so much either. He can still see them as the cages are either side of my computer table...i can talk to all of them and watch them so its ideal. Thanks for your advice Karen.....i'll give him loads of attention i ordered some food treats for him too for his birthday so i might give him a few early!!
