hi since ive not really been here for a while i thought id better up date you on whats been happening with my finches first story is my javas are parents to 2 baby gouldians all fledged and weaned lol yes the javas stole them and reared them gave me a few days of confusion i can tell u lol the next amazing thing is my ruddies had babies the nest fell killing one bubby and i saved another the parents refused to take the new born back so i took the chance and put him in with a pair of gouldians who had eggs nabout an hour after i did that the first gouldian bubby hatched now mother gouldian is the proud mumma of 4 teeny pink babies and one fat black fuzzy one all doing great

How gorgeous! Karen, those markings are inside the beak - they help the parents know where to place the food

WOW what a story, and how lovely these birds 'adopted' the babies. i noticed the beak markings, they are so bright. The babies look cosy in that nest
