You tell me. Donny is the 2 month old Kakariki male I got yesterday. I did a 15 minute training session with him this afternoon. Doesn't want a bar of me here: 10 minutes later: 5 minutes after that: Darn that hurt!!! Got a nice 'little' beak mark where he gnawed my fingers!!! I think the training was successful!

He is still very much afraid of me. Doesn't mind biting though! I've still got the marks.
My mum is convinced he is going to talk.

He's a strange bird. I put my arm in the cage and he freaks. He doesn't stop freaking until I actually touch him. How weird is that?

Yes, mum still loves him. I actually got to see his dad, he is a heck of a big bird! The lady said Donny will be as big as his dad! I will be very happy the day he takes food from me.

careful, you might lose your bird to your mum, then she will just HAVE to join! lol
does he have a favorite treat yet? or is it still a case of "i'll eat anything" lol

Actually the only thing I know 100% that he loves is Safflower seeds. All my kiki's love them. My mum will get to spend more time with him than me when I go back to work next week so I might lose him to mum anyway. She is very wary of his beak though as the tame male has tried to eat her fingers before.

Hmmmm seeds are a little small to risk losing your fingers over lol maybe he will discover he likes something of a better size over time if he likes berries, you could offer him a complete stalk of them?
