ill try n get one tho there hard to get a decent shot lol to fast LOL yes i know that feeling!! i only asked cos at the moment from the other pictures i would say they were both girls. The beaks dont look big enough to be boys and the heads look as if they have a flat spot on top. but saying that, this could be due to the angle of the photos so a face on shot would help

hey everyone, i got a question to ask the other day i saw the male feeding the female and then a few hours later the pair doing there mating act but this cant be right if there only around 4 months of age or are they older when will they be mature enough i know i shuld wait til around 12 months of age but nature has started early. the nest box is out wondering if i shuld put it in?

in the wild, kaks breed from 6 months old for three years and they then retire from breeding and rest for their remaining life span. it is perfectly acceptable for them to breed in captivity from 6 months old, they will "experiment" from about 3 months, but is not advisable to put in a nest box as they are not mature enough to raise chicks at this age. if you have been advised that they are currently 4 months, i would wait till May before you give them a nest box to be on the safe side i hope this helps? any other questions - ask away
