Well guys - all but one of the Batty Chicks is out of the nest I've never been so scared in my whole life, watching them climbing all over the place! Thought I would pop on a couple of short profiles of them, so if anyone knows of anybody who may be able to give them a good home .... Nibbles Yellow body, Green Head & some green on shoulders B1 (Male) Very friendly, but also quite independent. Likes tummy tickles & steps up easily. Already into most of the toys in the cage. First time on a perch! Loving the swing! Sprite Cinnamon & Yellow pied B2 (Male) A scaredy cat, but a bit softy!! If in mortal fear of his life Sprite lays flat on his tummy and hopes that no-one will notice a mini bird rug on the floor! He also sleeps a lot!e Sprite is the snoozy birdie in front! Pixie Cinnamon with Yellow tummy B3 (Female) Not quite as friendly as Nibbles, but not a scaredy cat either - will step up easily. Very active and into everything – favourite trick at the moment is trying to squeeze through the bars of the cage and frighten Mummy! Definitely born to be wild - already quite the little adventurer! Pixie hasn't quite worked out which end to drink wiith yet! Freckles Dark green, strong blue wing feathers specks of Yellow B4 (Male) A bit of a dark horse as hasn’t been out of the nest long. Does seem to make a run for it whenever he sees me though – I guess he just doesn’t dig blondes! Dixie Dark Green with a few Yellow feathers on wings & tail B5 (?? Suspect Female) Only just out of the nest – another one who does like me much (doh!) Dixie makes strange hissing noises when anything scares him (which seems to be most things – hehe!) Rio Dark Green with a few Yellow feathers on wings & tail B6 (?? – Suspect Female) The baby of the bunch and still in the nest. Rio has a bald back at the moment due to the others using her as a doormat/footstool. I’m sure she doesn’t have any lurgies – just claw marks! Freckles, Dixie and Rio are the snoozy green lumps behind Sprite! Better pics to follow I promise, but they are all sleeping at the moment and you know what they say about sleeping dogs?? Multiply it by 1000 for sleeping chicks
