Natilie, Sugar is quite a small hen, she started off with Sal as a rescue, then i got Her and her mate from Sal. Sadly i have lost her mate, who escaped and flew off. She is a wonderfull little bird with a great personality, i love her to bits. It took quite a while for her to get in a good condition, as when Sal first had her, she was pretty shabby, bit thin, and out of condition. As for that Essex girl of mine.. Petra!..well shes really not happy when i intrude, and will protect her eggs. Trouble is i dont want chicks this year, ive already taken 3 eggs away, but i feel so mean.! They do make a handsome pair dont they

aherm... if i was an essex girl i might take offense, luckily im London born and bred lmao this is one of sugars first photos when we rescued her... And when you look at her now in Scully's aviary you can see how happy and healthy she has become its all that spoilt loving she gets from Mr & Mrs Scully that bird gets away with more than any other in the household lol Petra and Lennie do make a handsome couple when the time is right they will have lovely babies dont feel guilty, if its any consellation she's still young and would probably make a pretty crummy parent this season

Just a little update. sadly Petra was not happy with me, as all her eggs had to go. Im sure she thinks im a nasty human now. She had plucked a few feathers from her belly, and even though it does not show untill you pick her up, she looks a bit badly.(sorry Sal I bought them all one of those cheap nesty things just to play with, and they are all having a whale of a time pulling it apart. Sugars got a new tunnel, and a shreddie box to hide in. Harveys taken to talking to himself most days, in one of the mirrors. Molly has no interest in both of the boys, sensible girlie , considering how pretty she is

aaawww poor little petra - i know you feel bad donna but just keep telling yourself she's not old enough as they didnt have a nest box she might have plucked a few feathers before you took the eggs away in an effort to make a nest for herself, dont feel too guilty she will forgive you soon good girl molly!! you keep away from those naughty boys
