I changed Kiwi's food last night only to find she has laid 2 eggs in one of her dishes they can only have been there a maximum of 2 days. Apart from the fact that I am totally amazed at how huge they are for the size of her Should I be worried/concerned, should I give her any extra foods to compensate for her egg laying? Does she need any special care at the moment? Will she grow out of the egg laying? lol She doesn't have a mate but she flirts like hell with Joey my Blue Crimson Rosella. My other half said he'd like to start looking for a male for her but I'm not so keen if it's just a phase she's going through. Any tips, advise and reassurrance would be greatly appreciated

All laid eggs is calcium that is drawn from her reserves. Egg food is a good supplement to feed during egg laying. Or a liquid calcium supplement you add to their water. My budgie Boris laid an egg today but she doesn't have a mate. I reckon Boris' season will last about 2 weeks. I reckon Kiwi will outgrow hers after a couple weeks. In the wild, kaks will breed non-stop until they are about 3yo then not at all. Maybe you could get a mate for her? They are fast becoming a very popular bird.
