We have another new addition to the family, a sweet lil tiel I named Brandy. She belonged to an aquaintance who decided to 'get rid' of all his pets so I offered to take her. She had no name and he couldn't even tell me anything else about her. She was pretty friendly til she saw hands. I'm slowly working her through that and can get her to step up sometimes now. Her and Elmo my red capped parrot are becoming friends now though they are still wary of each other. Brandy Brandy and Elmo on the play stand Elmo is colouring up now though he still has a little way to go yet. He's 14 months old now.

Elmo certainly does but I think you'd have to get a very young one and hand raise it or have someone else do it but where you can see your bub often til you take it home. Red caps are notoriously flighty and aggressive in an aviary setting so I've been told. I was also told they don't do well in captivity but Elmo is going great guns. Loves attention, though he's not fussed on hands in his cage lol, and is saying new stuff all the time. I reckon he can say at least 15 different phrases and is practicing on more.
