Hey Tig
I see the babies are keeping you on your toes! Sorry if there are any typos in this the tiels are trying to help me type
I'm sure Pixie is just having some baby blonde moments, and given enough time she'll learn that it's easier to go through the door than through the bars. Babies can be quite reluctant to go back to their cages in the early days, but there are a number of things that you can try.
1, Perhaps try giving them their egg mix last thing before bedtime instead of in the mornings as this might gvie them a reason to go in.
2, Ye olde tea-towel approach! Iyf your really lucky you might be able to do this with the lights on, but the odds are that they will see you coming and fly off before you get there (especially as you are luike me and a little vertically challenged )
3, Attack -with ye olde tea-towel with the lights off Make a mental note of where the sneaky birdie is hiding, then get as close as you can. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\if you have company then get them to switch the light off, and pounce as quickly as ou can!
4, My favoured approach with my wayward cockatiel (Betty) is my bird net - you should be able to get them from the parrot shop. The advantage of this is that if you really can't get them while they are sitting on something you can actually catch them in mid-air, although I do use the mid-air catch as a last resort, as it's a bit like birdie badminton! The good thing about the bird nets over the tea-towels is that they are designed to allow the bird to go into them when they jump, whereas they tend to slip out of the sides of the tea-towels. Once they are in the dark they generally quiet down.
5, Shut both doors to the lounge and leave 'em to it for the night. They really will go in when they're hungry - odds are that you'll come down to 2 snoozy birdies in the cage in the morning. If you're worried about Pixie trying to squeeze between the bars, try covering the top of the cage with a towel so that she has to head down the sides to the door.
Hope this helps Tig - gimme a shout if your still struggling.
Hugs
