Are you taking her to the Caboolture meetup Judy? You'll be mobbed! or lynched if you don't take her.
She is so beautiful Judy, what an incredible looking bird.
Have you introduced her to the rest of the flock yet?

Thanks guys. Shes been introduced to pepi an and paulie. She was abit scared and taken aback when I took her into the bird room as they were making such a racket. Now that she is settled in properly and eating I might take her in there for a visit this weekend. As for the cab meet, not sure yet, as she is in full flight. And not harnessed trained either.

Harnessed..with a Jetta, l would clip and take her outside and enjoy the world "so to speak".. personnally harness can be a weight on birds also.. even thou they look good the yare an inconvieniance is my opinion. And security without fault??? of your own Jetta will stay. with you................ as people experiance when they loose there loved parrots..just a thought..

Yeah thanks greg. Not sure on the harness training as yet as she has taken to playful biting now she has settled in. So Im working on stopping that at the moment. I think harness training will only encourage her to bite while she is playful. She is settling in really well, and fully eating seed and cracking well too. Her poos are nice and solid and Im just teaching her to eat her veg lol. Just like having kids all over again.

Great to hear Jetta is settling in to your life well done.. Another experiance: The biting thing is only a test between you and Jetta, don't tell her.............. but if you give in, she win's..lol.. Then like l did with Mylo.. l have to remember? "who bought who"..he..sounds cold... but has worked out well with us ( Greg/Mylo ?). This is what l have learn't with parrot's when bonding together well, regardless of rules and books and videos..he.. Be nice and Nice will be with you..

Thanks Jules.
Greg Im trying something with Jetta, as to when she starts biting and is playful I put her in the cage for a bit and when she settles down again Ill bring her out. I remember doing that with paulie, and it seemed to work. Any other suggestions and Im more than open to give a go.
