Hi all, Hope all had a good christmas. Sorry i don't play much but at the moment with one thing and another it was a bad end to 2006. December was pretty awful, after my partners operation in the year my mum went in to hospital with a suspected heart attack mid december, but all is ok with her now, although they still don't know what it was. My car has all but given up now (it failed the mot last month) and i can't afford another. Then to top things off I lost my favourite Kak on Boxing day, we woke up to find her first thing Boxing day morning cold and still. Sorry to say Scully it was Tess. There had been no previous signs of anything wrong, she had been eating and drinking normaly the day before. She was such a great girl always with me when she was out, she will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Today I had to go and get another female kak because tess's partner nibbles has been going mad since so i hope it will calm him down now, time will tell, She's a cinnamon and she cost me £45. Another shop wanted £69 for a female or £95 for a pair talk about daylight robbery (Crews Hill Bird Centre just to name and shame). All for now Happy New Year All John

I'm so sorry to hear the news John - Tess was such a little sweetheart & I know Nibbles adored her too. I hope your new girl is settling in well.
How is your Mum doing now - I hope she's feeling better, it's such a shock to the system (theirs and ours!) when these things happen out of the blue.
Hope your other half is getting on OK after the op too - be sure to send everyone lots of hugs from all of the batties

John I am very saddened by your loss. It is never easy when such beautiful creatures leave us. I wish you and your entire family the best of health for 2007.

Hi All, Thanks for all the kind thoughts. Kiwi seems to be settling in well with nibbles, but I think he still misses tess and has become really vocal since her demise. I'm sure he'll settle down as she gets a bit older, I think she's only about 3/4 months old so a bit young yet and not as tame as tess unfortunately. At least it will mean we don't get as close as we did with tess. Thanks again
John
