That was brilliant lol, bless her, she put up a good fight lol
Karen out of interest, ( I noticed you had them in the same aviary as the budgies) do you know if i could put Harry (celestial parrotlet) in with my budgies in aviary, shes so nasty and never lets us handle her and letting her out for a fly is a nightmare, cos she wont come out of the cage, without a fight/bite and getting her back in is worse, (we've been trying to make her a calm nice natured pet lol for 02 years but it isnt to be)so i thought if they could mix, i would put her in the aviary, so she can fly as as when she decides. Thank you in advance

Honestly Dawn, I don't know - Buuzbee has Parrotlets though & I think someone on her board Conure Crazy has a couple in with their budgies. If the aviary is big enough it should be fine. Probably PM Buuz first though and see what she says.

I'd be interested to know what she says Dawn.
The Green Cheek in the background is Con, he loves the camera! Everytime the camera comes out he is always 'available'. I get his new mate tomorrow.

Hiya Karen, I got a pM back from Anna today, this is what she said 'Parrotlets dont play nicely with others, so i wouldnt recoment putting him in the aviary. Most p'lets when caged next to each other, have to have a gap inbetween so they dont bite off toes!' so dont think I shall bother then lol

They are similar to Lovebirds then! I introduced a new pair to another & he kept trying to bite their toes off!!

it really does seem to depend on the bird. p'lets can be very nippy and do need cages to be seperated. But i think it does also have to do with each ones personality. If they are introduced young to other birds, they seem to play okl together, but i still wouldnt house them together. I wouldnt ever introduce adult birds to an aviary. Kevin on CC has a pair of p'lets, they hang out together with budgies, but are housed seperatly.

hi, i would never recommend putting parrotlets in with budgies as the parrotlets would hurt or even worse kill the budgies,as buuz said they can be very territorial with their cages or even the room they are in. i have four budgies and four parrotlets the budgies come out at the same time as two of the parrotlets and normally its ok but sometimes the parrotlets can get a bit bossy, there has never been any fighting or biting but they tend to chase the budgies off the toys, and then strut around like they own the place. if any one wants to learn more about parrotlets i do have a forum which you are all welcome to come and have a look at, but you will have to register to see all of it. www.parrotlets.org.uk kev
