Hi there, i am new to the forum, though i have already tapped into the knowledge departments of Scully and Karen and both have been extremely helpful.
Anyway, my name is Rick, i liove in Melbourne Australia. I am 45 yo and have a love of all animals. My history with animals have included a large brreding colony of Budgies a number of years ago in Sydney. I then moved away from birds and into reptiles, amphibians and arachnids. After a major loss with them i have now moved back to my main love, birds.
I currently have a breeding colony of peach faced love birds, which is going along nicely and have recently purchased a pair of scarlets and a pair of kakarikis, and the kakarikis are curently sitting on 5 eggs and should start hatching any day, fingers crossed.
My next aim is to purchase a breeding pair of king parrots and another pair of something else that will live with them in a nice sized aviary and also breed, so any suggestions on that subject would be great.
I am also triying to get some local contacts that are also into the parrot world.
Looking forward to learning from everyone and helping out when i can.
Rick

Welcome Rick! Aren't Scully and Karen great? I currently have budgies, as well as a granite spiny lizard, 3 toads, and 21 tree frogs spread out in age from tadpoles to froglets. I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. I'd be interested in talking to you about the amphibians, if you wouldn't mind of course, I'm still relatively new to that area. But anyway, welcome again and hope you enjoy it here! ;D -Liz

Hi Rick What can go with a King Parrot? hmmmm that's a tough one as Kings are not known as being friendly towards other parrots in a colony situation. I do know someone who has them in with cockatiels, crimson wings, galahs etc. His aviary is a converted single carport so plenty of available room to stay away from each other.

the best i can tell, is that i have at least 3 hens, maybe more, i know this because i have had 3 hens sitting at one time, but there maybe more in the 8. One of the hens is a nice yellow/green and the others are normal green
