just wanted to say hi. You all helped me with advice a while ago re my cocketiel and budgie and thanks. I recently met someone who said I shouldn't have them sharing the same cage( a very large one) as cocketiel gives scaly face to budgie. they seem ok. Main topic was just of interest. I had such a treat this morning of having a stunning peacock visit my garden. As I type this I can hear it calling from a bit away. I checked the web and it would seem apart from seeds, etc they can be fed dried cat food and they love broccoli. As I am in the Uk England, near Blackpool Lancashire, on the Irish Sea it's just a bit unusual. I've been to the local shop and stocked up. I think most of you are asleep as it is 1600gmt. Just thought you'd be interested. It is an urban area although mature gardens and some ponds. So I'll see if he comes for breakfast tomorow if he wants what is on the menu !! fussy things Regards jayne sorry if this goes in twice

G'day Jayne! Been awhile mate. Don't listen to the knob who said tiel & budgie shouldn't be housed together. If the like each other then all is good. Scale Mites will go to whatever bird they feel like - it's not a tiel mite or a budgie mite - they go for birds. Lucky you seeing a peacock! Not seen any where I am.
