well my little Grumpy guts has been a real love bug since my last post, perhaps it was the moulting, but hey ho, cant expect them to be perfect. So when his new harness arrrived, he was a good boy. Its much better, i bought it because the head part was so tight getting it on and off, and i felt it was too off puttting for him. We have had flight tests indoors today, it does need a stitch or two to keep the shoulder bits slipping, but its much better than the smaller size. Dont like red though, as i felt the colour can be scarey. he was not too impressed to start with in this pic, but after flying around with Kaeci, he looked more comfortable with it. sorry this is a crap pic outside tommorow, so hopefully ill get some piccies

I remember when I first put one on Alex! He was rolling around on the ground & refused to stand up!

you gotta laugh at this one Mue, i took him to the bathroom, and put him on the shower perch while i had a bath. He wanted to get in, so he climbed down my arm to the water. Well i held him on my hands just so his belly was touching the water, and he went for it, and had a little swim. I could'nt believe it he was really swimming with his wings! i kept my hands under so he did not go under, but he seemed to float, and off he went. You do have to be so careful, as they have no fear, but he really enjoyed himself, doing a couple 1/2 lenghs of the bath.

Wow I bet he looked funny doing that! They really do love water don't they. The only downside to swimming in your bath is perhaps the bubbles etc. you add to the water! perhaps give him a good bath/wash with plain water afterwards

well i do have to wash him off when he dives in the washing up sometimes im sure fairy liquid would not be good for him. the bath had only just been run, and it was clean and just warm. best of all he seems to be back to himself too, and his unpredictable nippyness has pretty much gone.

He was'nt angry Shell, just trying to get it off, after a while he was reasonably okay with it. When Biggs is angry, his head fluffs up like a punk rocker ;D

Biggs had quite a nice fruit mix today, including a coupe of blackberrys and blueberrys. I came home, to find black bits everywhere, all up the wall, all over at least 4 of his perches, the one nearest to his bowl was totally splattered, as was a few places inside his cage. Goodness knows what he did with them, i rekon he had a ''One Bird'' food fight with himself ;D
He is the only bird out of my lot, who will try most things i make, or buy, and put in front of him, and eat just about all of it every day.
