LOL, ask and you shall recieve!
It's hard to find a decent background to take good pics of him. He's not great at taking pics, either, I am just insanely persistant with my camera. He doesn't have much of a chance. The outdoor pics were good because I had that branch for him to perch on. If I try to put him on a flat surface he just attacks the camera, lol.

Hmm... This isn't in my cage, but it is my bowl... is this safe? Totally worth the risk. This is his cage. I'd like to get a bigger one, but this is all we could afford at the time. He's rarely in it, anyway.

He's such a goof and these next few just show how goofy he is. Oooh, gotta strech. That feels good. Are you talking to me? Uh, mom... this is weird!

Rosco is a nice, sweet, loving bird. But only to me. Anyone that is not me, tries to come near me, or is another species gets attacked. That's one of the reasons I came here. I can do anything with him. No one else can get anywhere near him.

He is very handsome (don't he know it too lol) Sounds like he's taken you as a mate and is protecting you from what he sees as dangers. There's a few things you could try with him that I've learnt from fellow members here.... don't try them all at once you'll confuse him more than train him, try them individually for a few days and see what's working best Stop feeding him his favourite treat and get your friends and family to be the only ones to give it to him, don't give in - if he doesn't take it from them then he doesn't get it... he might start associating everyone else around you with something good... his treats. Every time he's naughty to someone put him firmly and confidently back into his cage, don't shout as he'll only shout back, screaming is the way they communicate and he'll just try to out-do you. Try putting him on the floor when he's gone for someone, keep him there till he's calmed down but be strict in keeping him down, it's a sign of dominance and will tell him that you're just not putting up with that kind of behaviour... when you're satisfied that he's been down for long enough get your family or friend to lift him back up, don't do it yourself. This may help build up better relations between Rosco and the rest of your family/friends. Always remember to treat him when he's been good too I'm sure you'll get lots of other advice but those ideas have worked the most for me so far

Excellent advice Deb!! infact im going to TRY & remember this for future use.. we had a lovebird that chose me as his mate once in fact his name was velcro because he was attached to me 24/7..when mike my husband would come home he would run & hiss all the while flapping his little wings trying to be big & scary..he hated being put in his cage, so for me, thats what would happen I would slip him in his cage for a timeout for bad behavior & after a bit & he calmed down, my husband or daughter would get him out, not me! lol he knew if he didnt behave he couldnt go see me..so he would be a good bird, but you could just tell, he was biding his time..
Roxy how old is Rosco??

Wow, thanks! That's a ton of great advice. Now I just have to convince my husband that it might work. Rosco is just so mean to him that he won't even go near him anymore. They used to be best buds for a while. He'd take Rosco out and play with him when I wasn't even home. Rosco is about 7 months, I believe. His birthday is Christmas Eve. So, I know we're getting into that "teenage" stage now, too.
