see every single one that I have nuzzled & cuddled in pet/bird shops just are darlings, but I just cant bring myself to take the plunge since I couldnt stand giving one up if I had too, I just get to attached.. but your probably right! maybe one day if I can find a doctor that can actually fix me LOL! maybe then I will break teh bank & get me one!! until then you will have to share Pete with me hehe I absolutely Adore staring at him!!
Laurie. Maybe you could try to see if somebody would let you babysit their cockatoo for a week. That way he/she wouldn't last long if it's not a good thing, and you get experience. I don't know if anyone would actually do that though.
Blain before I moved from Oregon to Kentucky, I was owned by a Yellow Naped Amazon, that would go quiet on compand except for when she was demonstrating her redition of a Fire Alarm & siren LOL!! Oy! that could literally split hairs..Dolly was a funny bird indeed, I suppose it may take me finding a GOOD doctor lol one that actually enjoys helping his patients! thats a difficult thing over here in this state I live in..finding a doc to WANT to help a migraine sufferer..they just dont take us seriously..if I were to get help with it, HECK YEAH! I would be the proud owner of a Gorgeous!! Pink Moluccan! and maybe even a Umbrella LOL or Lesser Too! hehe that would be so neat..
