I cant believe i fell for it again!! My little Dr Doolitle (Jamie) has been on my case for some time about getting another hamster and when we went in pet shop to get doog food - we came out with a blooming hamster!! I dont even remember saying yes I blame Jon entirely, if he wasnt with me I'm sure we would have come away with just the dog food Just settling her into her new home and I will let him get her out for a photo shoot, she is a pretty little white thing and he's called her Lilly.

Ok, she's all settled. Found her food, water, toys and chewy wood blocks, so let Jamie get her out for a cuddle.... I'm not particularly a hamster person, so dont know much about them. But i must say, i have never heard a hamster be so vocal she wanders round her cage squawking like a little baby bird! At first I thought something was hurting, so picked her up and checked her over but couldnt see anything obvious, and she'd stopped squawking so put her back, then she starts again lol. Been told she is pretty young so I'm now thinking that it may be an attention thing? cos each time she gets a cuddle she's quiet lol. If thats the case then it will be pretty handy that she enjoys cuddles cos having Jamie as your owner you dont get much choice lol. Anyone got any ideas?

dang that kid is good! I reckon you are right though - if she stops squawking when picked up and starts when put away then she definately wants the attention. Great she's got Jamie, she'll never be lonely. What about putting a little stuffed toy in her pen she can cuddle to when Jamie isn't there to cuddle? She is beautiful, such a soft mummy and daddy!

he has donna, the steroids done him the world of good!! he still not as big as he should be, but im not complaining, cant have my little boy growing up too quick (cutting his hair tomorrow lol got a bit long and messy) LOL yes debra, thats the son that i had the fire service out to. His "butter wouldnt melt" eyes are not what they seem! lol oh karen, if i ever get to the point where i actually see a con coming, i will video it for you. its perfection! as i said, i dont even remember saying yes lol. although, at least with Jamie i know its not a fad and he'll never get bored of taking care of them so i spose for that i should be grateful. thats a good idea about the cuddly toy, i'll ask him to find one for her tomorrow. while there is no school, she wont need it too much, but after all the fuss she's getting at the moment i think she will really feel his absence when term starts again.
