This is Sunny, and his girl is Connie....together they are SUNnie CONnieR www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_MAzAM2rWQI taught Sunny to wave in next to no time and even though he is in the aviary and I haven't asked him to wave often, he still remembers the trick. Especially when there is sunflower seeds as a reward lol He is my clever little orange man

Thanks everyone That's really cute! How did you teach Sunny to wave? I used sunflower seeds as an incentive. First I put my finger near him as if he was to "step up". When he stretched his foot out to step up, I said "wave", moving my other hand like when you wave to someone, and moved my finger away so he didn't actually touch or step up onto my finger and gave him the sunflower seed. I done this about 10 times then tried it without the finger being there. When he lifted his foot without my finger being there, he got his seed. After him doing that, I got him to open and close his foot while holding it in the air then gave him his seed. lol It only took about 2 or 3 days with about 20 times a day. He is a quick learner. He now knows that when I take the camera in his cage, I get him to wave and he gets his sunflower treat, so now he does it automatically without the command when he sees the camera , but he only gets the treat when I ask him to wave

I think if I tried that with my ornery little cinnamon green-cheek, he's get irritated with me hehe. Might be worth a shot, though. Thanks for sharing that.
