Well I finally got her today. Have to say I was a little bit disappointed, she is underweight and has an eye infection. In saying that though, she has a lovely disposition and is very quiet - although I prefer my parrots to be a little on the noisy side. oh, and I am looking for names for her. Here is a hint on the way I normally go about naming my pairs: Prince & Princess, Fred & Ginger, Donny & Maree, Whistler & Mrs Whistler, Oscar & Lucinda, Jack & Jill . . . see where I'm going? Her mate's name is Monty. This is the new girl: . and this is Monty: .

That's a lovely pair you've got there! Hope the lady's health improves quickly.
As for names, what about Margie?

Millie is out - that is my aunts car's name. I like Matilda - it's a good Aussie name. Mummy Bernadette thought up name Rose - as in the town in Victoria called Montrose CLICK so in the progression in my mind Monty = Rosey. So Matilda or Rosey. Gotta think on those as I like them both. Her eye is looking alot better today too, much of the swelling has gone down. She sure has been hoing into her tucker too! She's eaten twice as much as Monty - I even gave her his leftover corn that he didn't eat and gobbled that up too!

I like Matilda -- but a shortened name would be Matty. Then you would have Monty = Matty. Is that something you might want?

They both look very nice. Shame she isn't in the best of health, but I'm sure you will soon fix that up. Can't decide between Matilda or Rosey huh......hmmmmm....I have an idea.....if you get another bird , then whatever name you don't use for Montys' girl you could call the other bird! ;P

I'd consider that as I don't mind the name Christy but that is the name of someone I cannot stand. I am leaning towards Matilda now, she "looks" almost like a Matilda . . .

Gosh...what lovely colors they are! Almost like they were colored with pastel chalk. Don't they just? I never used to be interested in Princess Parrots, in fact I thought their chirrups were rather annoying and loud. Then when a lady asked me to adopt her handicapped one I thought "darn! don't like them" but I accepted any handicapped bird and she soon won me over. I've now got 4! I haven't seen her since Sunday as I don't get home before dark (hurry up Summer already!) and don't want to disturb them. But Mummy Bernadette has been feeding and watering her and says her eye infection must have been just one of those irritants like when we get dirt in the eye and rub and it goes red for a day. Her eye is good and she's not scoffing down so much food as she did the first couple days. I heard her and Monty chirping away this morning and I love their chirrups now!
