Hey there everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful month! Did you do anything special with your birdies for Halloween? We’d love to hear about it!

One of my favorite things about Bird Crazy is the wide range of people on the boards. We are from all over the world, sharing a common interest in birds! To help show this and to give everyone an idea of where people are from, we’ve added a Bird Crazy Guest Map! This can be found at the top of the Home Page, right by the buttons/links for voting for us on the Top Sites Lists. (And those buttons are good to push too!) Click on the map and add yourself to the list. You don’t have to put specifics down, or personal information, but you can add a little “pin” to show where you live! Hope you head on over there. ;D
Congratulations to our October Bird of the Month Winner: Skyfeather and her Senegal Safara! The winning picture stars Safara with just some of the 2,000 toys Skyfeather got her! What are they exactly? Popsicle sticks! Thank you for judging, Scully!
Competition News: the “Up to No Good” competition is closed to new entries, and now the voting is open! Last time I checked there weren’t that many votes (okay, the voting only JUST opened) but you’d better hurry on over and take a look at the entries! There are a lot of very good pictures to choose from. Good luck to everyone who entered!
There weren't too many Confessions this month, but Karen got a friend for her princess parrot Monty, and her name is Matilda! She is quite lovely and doing better now that when she first came home. I also have a poodle pup now, named Kona. She is an absolute sweetheart and a brat at the same time but seems to be settling in well! Laurie (who didn’t confess, apparently!) has two new Turquoisines and a pair of bourkes. Lori’s baby Senegal Elmo has finally come home as well!
Some highlights from this month:
-Skyfeather unintentionally started quite a stir in the Avian Food section with some gorgeous millet sprays she grew herself… and she even told us how to grow it too! I’m definitely going to be trying that out!
-We had a baby boom last month, now everyone is growing up! Karen’s young bourkes are fledging already. Laurie’s green cheeks are officially grown up and looking very beautiful. Tasha’s youngest Indian ringnecks are still small but doing well, despite a thankfully temporary problem with splayed legs, and I can’t wait to see them with feathers, as her older ones are gorgeous!
-Canuck has been up to her usual business in the Muppet Board… she put up lots of funnies to see! I don’t know where she finds them all, but I’m glad for the smile!
That’s it for this month! Have a good November!
