Let me apologize in advance for the shortness of this Newsletter; November was here and is already gone with a whirlwind! I can’t believe it is almost Christmas! I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving!

Congratulations to Tasha for winning the Bird of the Month Award with her picture of the little Indian Ringneck, Spongie. Spongie is absolutely adorable, and earned her name when Tasha used a make-up sponge to help her get over her splayed legs. It worked, and Spongie is now the object of many sneaky (and not so sneaky) attempts by different members to “give her a new home”. Just playing, of course, and naturally, I had no part in it.
The Christmas Competition is now open, and will be open until December 25, Christmas! Anything goes, with a 4 picture limit! Check out the thread in the competition board for more details. I can tell you that the winner’s prize will be delivered in person by Mr. Jingles! But I ain’t gonna tell you who he is, so you better go find out.
New additions:
Karen’s Elegant Parrot babies are growing up and doing well. I can’t wait to see them as they get older!
Chirperfan’s mom has brought home a little budgie named Tweety. We’re still waiting for some pictures, but here’s hoping that Tweety is settled in comfortably!
Tasha took in 4 Eastern Rosellas and 7 Red Rump Parakeets that needed a bit more flight space… they are lovely and I’m sure they will be happy with her!
Have you heard of Snowball the Dancing Cockatoo? He is a remarkably talented fellow who just dances naturally! Debra has posted a link to his Christmas video in the Bird Pictures section of the Guest Nest. Very cute!
Just a few quick reminders: don’t forget to use the nifty little buttons at the top of the Home Page! Any votes for us on the Best Sites lists are very much appreciated, and if you haven’t added yourself to the Guest Map yet, it is just to the right of the voting buttons!
Thank you all, and have a very Merry Christmas and a New Year as we come to it!
