So sorry about the loss of the little one, Karen. Here's hoping the rest do very well. I love the little fluffies... someday I'll have some more around.

Bubs are looking good: This is the one I am thinking of pulling to finish raising either xmas or boxing day. Likely boxing day at this stage:

I had a scare today. The eldest 2 decided it was time to fledge - too young in my opinion! Silverbeet can be dangerous! The one with only small blue on rump - got tangled up in the dried silverbeet that wasn't consumed! I usually give them a full piece and it must become like string when it dries, the little one had it wrapped around it's foot and leg about 6 times and rather tight too. Lucky I check on them a number of times a day else he could have lost the foot! It was painful for the little one getting it off and I was as gentle as I could be considering I was nearly panicking. Got it off after a few minutes and I've vowed not to ever give them a full leaf again, I will chop it in future. Here is the 2 eldest after the "rescue": Here is little Floyd, I took him yesterday to finish rearing - I got myself a heat mat and thermometre and wanted to check them out. "He's" taken to the spoon rather well.
