Hi everyone - thank you so much for your kind thoughts towards Bob. He came home from the vets at lunch-time, and it's not the best news in the world I'm afraid. He went into the vets yesterday morning, and when they opened him up they found a lump on his spleen (which we're really hoping doesn't turn out to be malignant) as well as quite a bit of bleeding, so they had to remove it straight away. While they were in there they also took another look at his liver, and have found several patches of dark tissue on that as well. They've taken 4 biopsies to see what that shows, but we won't get the results of that for at least another week. He's resting at home now with lots of cuddles, and the customary flower pot on his head (poor little sausage!). He has a slit all the way up his tummy from right in front of his tinkle spout , and it's about 6 inches long (the slit!). He has to go back to the vets on Monday for a check up, so keep your fingers crossed for him. Thanks again for sending those positive thoughts guys - keep 'em coming they really are appreciated. Ellen & Bob

im sorry, but "tinkle spout" did make me laugh! ive never heard of it called that before #norty# lol @ Sal - I though we should keep it cute tis a family show after all eh Quick update on the wee woofer - he's still very poorly, but I guess given the magnitude of what he's just been through that's more than understandable. If he was a people he would probably still be in hospital right now. The worst part is that he's so obviously in a lot of pain, but heart breakingly the vets have said that he can't have any painkillers because of the other problems with his liver We're just letting him take things at his own pace, and watching him like a pack of hawks. At the moment all he wants to do is cuddle into you for comfort. I'm going to just lay on the floor with him tomorrow and snuggle for as long as he wants to - don't have to go to work so he can have my whole day. Seriously though guys - you are an amazing bunch and we appreciate all your kind thoughts so much. Being the greedy mare that I am though, I'd really appreciate it if you could continue to keep him in your thoughts Here are a couple of pics of our wee Angel

Quick update on the wee wiggler (aka Bob!) - he perked up quite a bit yesterday, and even managed a quick game of "foot monster!". For the uninitiated foot monster involves an unsuspecting human placing a foot under a rug or dog bed, and Bob pouncing on it and trying to dig it out He went back to the vets today, and they are really pleased with his progress so far. No news on the biopsy r e s u l t s yet, but hopefully by the end of the week. Keep 'em crossed for us guys - all your positive thoughts really seem to be helping and we can't thank you enough - hugs and woofs from Bob

Thanks so much Sal Silly question for you - why does my post have "very friendly" persons in the middle of it?? It's meant to say biopsy results - have gone in and tried editing it, but same thing ??

erm nope! take the word "result" drop the RE and swap the UL around and thats what it thinks you are trying to type, i think its just being a bit enthusiastic lol try editing your post and put spaces between the letters - that should sort it
