Ooh, and guess what! 2 have hatched! Better pictures to follow, as Mum was quite upset at my interference. There is only one in this picture, and it's quite blurry

I love the Silver Quail - the prettiest mutation I reckon. The first time I bred a silver quail I freaked as the baby was green! I had to contact a friend who told me it would turn silver when it grows feathers!

Well, 4 of the 8 eggs have hatched, and Mum has left the nest, so I assume the rest won't hatch! Still can't get good pictures, but here is the best I got

More silvers!!! Bring the other eggs inside Lin & keep em at about 36-40 degrees, you might get lucky and hatch 1 who can be a pet!

I was advised that on another board, but by the time I noticed it, the eggs were cold, and one poor baby was half hatched, though dead. I have got the other 3 under a light, but I don't think they will hatch. Still, I will know next time

Yes Jules, their running around, and I believe they can eat themselves right from the start. It's really sweet to watch, Mummy walks around fluffed up, and the babies are hiding in her feathers - you can't see them at all! #heart#

Aw now Jules, you've had Mr Jules around for too many years now, get rid of him and replace him with some widdle loveable quails #cheesy# #cheesy# #cheesy#
I have 3 eggs incubating in my kitchen, have no idea if they will hatch, but I will give them a chance. Just hope I don't set fire to the box having a lamp going on it all night #cheesy# #cheesy#
