As most of you know, I have been bird-less for a while now since my Sherby left us. I think we are now ready for a new bird to enter the home but am very unsure on what to be looking at This is the dilemma.... I just lurve budgies, they are my favorite bird out of all! but I'm worried a new budgie would be compared to sherby and be penalized for not being like him. I love tiels but Jon doesn't like their trade mark screech so unless i got one without him knowing and smuggled it in i wouldn't get away with that lol. I would dearly love to get a Conure or Senegal but funds do not allow for either of those for the foreseeable future. I have 7 empty cages here going from a very generous budgie size to a full size Kak mansion so housing is not a problem at all - also already know where the cage is going in the lounge too, depending on which one obviously lol. You see, I have all the practical bit sorted but just so indecisive on breed. Any suggestions?! I'm in a bit of a pickle

He's gorgeous! He's a crimson rosella, reasonably expensive bird over here. I had a pair once and the blasted hen got out when I was moving them into their new aviary. grrrrr she was gorgeous too! I hope the owner lets you get him, sooo pretty!
Thought of selling a couple of your cages Sal? Could put the funds towards another bird. Mueb usually has reasonably priced babies for sale.

hi Sal nice to hear your feeling a little better about getting a new birdy after losing your Sherby. i know how it feels as we our beautiful Louie (budgie) died last year and am finally going to get 2 'sunday' conures this weekend. I've never kept any larger than a cockatiel before so am rather nervous but excited. thank god for u all as i have a feeling i will need lots of advice.
