Hi! I've just joined this site after it was recommended to me, apparently you're all very nice and very helpful!! Praise indeed!
I've been keping birds for a few years now after my grandad built me an avairy. Currently, I own three Kakariki's - Pierre, Fifi and Sid, a Green Cheeked Conure - Ivy, two Diamond Doves - Damien and Lucy, two Hecks Finches - Bruce and Shelia, two Zebra Finches - Jon and Paul, two Mexican House Finches - Emilio and Jaunita, two Magpie Mannikins - Dave and Petal, seven Chinese Painted Quail - Tipex, Brownie, April, Pearl, Oddbod, Nugget and Mocha, and five Bengalese Finches that don't have names because I can't tell them apart!! I also have five Nun X Fantail doves - Butthead, Coop, Ted, Colin and Airbus.
In the past I've kept many other types of bird including budgies, star finches, strawberry finches, pekin robins (which are BEAUTIFUL!!) canaries, paradise wydahs, parsons finches, rosa bourkes, lineolated parakeets, orange bishops... I can't think of anything else! I did have a baby blackbird with a broken wing at one point too, it couldn't fly so stayed in my avairy for quite a long time.
I've joined the site hoping to meet some like minded bird loving people as since my grandad died, I don't really have anyone to ask for help and advice and, of course, share my stories with!
Thanks for reading! Georgina xx

Welcome Georgina! Looks like we both got started the same way: my brother got me started on birds, and built me my first aviary. I can remember when I was still really small we would sit and watch his birds together. Good memories! So anyway, sorry about the bunny trail. I'd love to hear more about your birds!
