On July 1st we had fireworks because it was Canada Day. I was in the computer room and Ember came flying into the room at warp speed whimpering like a child and he clung to the back of my head. His eyes were huge. I thought what is wrong with you? I walked into the living room and heard the boom of the fireworks. I know most animals hate them, but I have never seen Ember like this. Almost like he was screaming "Mommy help me!" lol

Poor Ember! I guess he doesn't hear them too much? Did he settle down when mummy was protecting him?

No, I don't think he heard them much before. They use to have the fireworks downtown, far from where I live, but this year switched the area, which happens to be close to where I live. He calmed down once he was with mommy, lol.

Aw, poor Ember! I had a german shorthair pointer that was supposed to be a hunting dog....forget that. When ever somebody so much as dropped something she would come quivering looking for someone to protect her. When there were fireworks I had to let her crawl on to my lap or she would break things.
