My other baby died today at 1:00pm, aged 3 days and 17.5 hours. I gave him to a family member to care for him while I was at work and it looks like he has been over fed and choked. RIP Wiggles... You will be missed 13 Dec 2007 - 17 Dec 2007 This is Wiggles and his little brother that died yesterday morning... : ( Maybe in another life I could find you there Pulled away before your time I can't deal it's so unfair And it feels And it feels like Heaven's so far away And it feels Yeah it feels like The world has grown cold Now that you've gone away Leaving flowers on your grave Show that I still care But black roses and Hail Mary's Can't bring back what's taken from me I reach to the sky And call out your name And if I could trade I would And it feels And it feels like Heaven's so far away And it stings Yeah it stings now The world is so cold Now that you've gone away

I converted my birds to the pellets about 6 months ago and they are so much healthier for it...
At first they didnt like the change but I mixed a bit of seed in with the pellets and after a while they were actually picking out the new pellets which was a good sign...
We were also told by the vet to make "cookies" for the birds which involved mashing up the pellets and mixing it with water and then making little cookies out of the mixture and baking them in the oven... The birds werent very impressed by that so I just took the seed away and left them with the pellets and they seemed to be eating ok...
I weighed them every couple of days to make sure that they were getting enough food during the day and everything... The pellets definately cost a lot more than the seeds but once again, there is no waste which is good...
I dont mind paying a bit extra knowing that they are going to be much healthier and happier little birdies for it...
Of course their Mum does spoil them every once in a while with a nice seed stick for them to chew on, they go mad when they see me with the packet : )

Thank you all very much for the kind comments. Yes, poor little Sandy is always getting her feathers pulled out by Sunny. The problem is that if I seperate them then they call for each other non stop, there is just no winning.
