: ( No still no sign of him.. I got a call from a lady who said that she thought she saw him in a park so I took one of my other birds down there to call out for him and I had a really good look around the park and couldnt find him anywhere : (
I have put some more signs down around the park so hopefully if someone else sees him down there they can give me a call or something. It is a week today since he has been gone.. : (

Yes, Pepper has been screaming outside all day for him, we have also taken Pepper for a walk up and down the street where he flew and still no luck, I cant hear him trying to call back.

My Pearl flew away this morning. Up and over the fence. We have been looking around for him all day. We have put flyers in all the letterboxes around our area hoping that someone has picked him up. His little mate Pepper has been calling him like crazy all day I just hope that he will be ok. Here is a picture of Pearl and Pepper.

All of my males whistle but my females dont really like to be involved in it, although I have caught one of my birds Cheeky (female) having a bit of a whistle to herself so maybe it is just that the females are shy

I feed my cockatiels pellets as they wont go anywhere near fruit or veg which is quite annoying but oh well. I have heard nothing but good reports about pellets. I went in and asked the pet shop about getting hand raising food for the babies when they were alive and I was told to just mash up the pellets and add water and use that as a hand raising food... I forget what the brand is called but the packet is clear with a blue label and a pied cockatiel on the front, lol my males also try to chat that cockatiel up when they see the packet Lucky my girls arent the jealous type

: ) You can never have too many Tiels!!! I have such a bad addiction to these wonderful little birdies... Everytime we walk past a pet shop I get litterally dragged away coz I just have to have one more : ) ; ) My partner is onto me now, he knows that I am not just going in to look There is generally another hour of, "awww he's so cute, what is one more going to hurt? Please can I have it" etc after that...

I dont think that the other eggs are going to hatch, they are a really dark grey colour... He is chirping to the other bird but he is still very white looking, I really hope that he pulls through!!!

Hey Liz, nice to meet you!
Well the new little one has arrived but I needed to assist him to come into the world, his membrane had dried out...
He doesnt seem to be doing too well at the moment, he is very still and he is very white, he is chirping to his older brother so I am hoping that he is going to be ok... It looks as tho he didnt absorb all of his yolk as he has a bit sticking out of his little tummy, that is another reason why I dont think he is going to do too well... I have the lamp on him trying to warm him up coz he feels freezing cold to touch... I really hope the poor little thing pulls through...
P.S. I am calling them boys but I have no idea what they are, I just dont want to say "it" all the time...

Hi Everyone! My name is Shelly and I am 21 from Brisbane Australia, I currently have 6 cockatiels and soon to be two baby cockatiels One of my babies was born on Thursday night at 7:30pm and his Mum and Dad rejected him so I have been hand feeding him since. I woke up at 12:00pm to give him his last feed until the morning when I heard a really faint chirping, I thought it may have been him chirping with his mouth full but I listened closer and it was coming from one of the other eggs, I thought the babies would have died once the mother stopped sitting on them but I was wrong... I had put the other eggs in the box with the baby to "keep him company" and the light that I have him under must've kept the eggs warm as well... It's now 2am and I am still waiting for the second baby to hatch, the egg seems a little more cracked and I can still hear the baby chirping very softly, I just hope that the baby makes it ok as I havent paid any attention to the eggs at all really, I havent been turning them or anything, I honestly thought they would die because the mother wasnt sitting on them, this is my first hand raising experience and I must say it is quite challenging to feed them from the first day, they are so little and fragile, it is hard to know whether you are doing the right thing for them or not... I am happy that my little one will have a brother or sister to chat to soon
