I bet she takes the yellow one at the 'front'. Yellow one?? You probably cant see in the pics, but there both going to be pied. You can see the feathers starting to develop. If we get a yellow one i think my Dads got first dibs on it lol (after me) lol

Lovely pics Donna...
With the toe i'd still let the vet have another peak at it, that looks just like Puku's did, One quick snip and it was gone.
Orange, how deep is the bath you give your two? Mine never seemed to get very wet till i put a deeper bath in, ( A deep pyrex dish out the kitchen lol) and now they get them selves completely soaked....

Puku was 9 weeks when she went to the vet, but i think it might be easy for them as yours is younger.
My vet spent 5 mins trying to catch Puku when he opened the box lol
I read on a post some where that a bird can lose upto 30% of its blood before it becomes a problem, so if the toes dead any way it will not have much going to it any way..
Good luck tomoz,

As Orange and sal said Puku's toe did the same thing.
My self and my Dad had a look and couldn't see any thing, the vet used high power magnifying glasses to see what it was, and when he took it off i could only just see it.
Failing that it might just be a slight prob in blood flow to his toe, one of my previous babies , remember Emu?, he hatched with only 3 toeson one foot. Even if it has to come off he/she will be fine. They have 2 front and 2 back toes and can lose 1 of each and still get on fine. its only a problem if they lose either both front or rear toes then they can't grip any thing.. He'll be fine either way .
I'm really confused with baldy now, his got pink lutino eyes yet it looks like his got green, or darker feathers on the edge of his wings....mmmm. lol
is there such a thing as a cinammon lutino???

why do you think it is wrong to cross the yellow and the green MR K? Are you getting confused here donna?? No probs between yellow and green, my 2 breed. its the cross breeding between yellow fronted and red fronted thats wrong.( the bit above there eyes) its like crossing a blue and gold macaw and a red one to see what the babies turn out like. NO NO

No such thing as a thick question Orange, (unless Jon is doing the asking #cheesy# ), there will be other people wondering the same thing #cheesy# i just noticed this post LIN , i ain't thick. am i? Orange, it has been done before but for the benefit of sience and to see what they come out like. I'm sure others would agree with me in saying its not right to cross breed the 2 variations.

Am I right in thinking that if both parents are red fronted (or whatever you call it) then none of the babies will be yellow fronted green pied ones??? Um yeh, red fronted and yellow fronted are 2 different breeds of the same species. your Puku is a red fronted pied .. dad was a red fronted pied mum is a red fronted lutino
