I have done everything i should never do in getting a bird, he/she was from a pet shop, and i paid possible £200 over what i should, no hatch certificate, no dna papers, and hes quite scruffy..but I have bought the most adorable Maximillon pinious, you could ever want. Wookie has been with me for 2 days, and he is a total cuddle bug, already my baby. He is about 5 months old, maybe more. Loves his rubs, and is so steady around the house with all the noises and dogs etc. Takes everything in his stride, and eats like a piggy. This morning we have been looking at You tube and all the dancing parrots. Will post some pics soon I am smitten

oh shes is adorable! i did wonder if feeding her a little baby food with a syringe would help you to bond with her as well. Biggs is acting wierd he one min acts like a hen in my hand, then he acts like he needs a hen haha!
and yes we all certainly have to learn to 'live and Learn'' ;D

Hi Kangus, happy new year I have read yor posts and i dont think yor baby was handraised at all. When i picked Biggles i had the choice of 2 or 3 and all of them were pretty much like magnets. All were eating everything very well. I thought maybe it would be a good idea if you tried a little handfeeding, with a syringe. Not only does yor little girl/gy sond like he has not been weaned very well , he could do with a little of the goodness that is in the baby food. Or the Egg food as Erik suggested.
i am glad to hear this little bird has you though, i wonder how he/she would be doing with someone else.

Very pretty, but i think you would regret getting a round cage. I bought my Mum a round cage, and it just never worked right for her Budgie. It has its limitations when putting things in. The $99 square one in the smaller picture looks good.

Funny she chases you on the ground, to a bird its the lowest perch If Biggles gets grumpy, he gets put on the floor, then he struts around head bobbing. Once he stops, he will get picked up again.
Shame we cant get into thier tiny feathery heads! ;D
