The Life of bubby: I was born around Jan. 06th, 2009..I was the last of 7 eggs so I have 6 siblings. Mum don't know the exact day i was born due she was off basking in the fresh air of Tassi on a holiday she deserved. After her lovely trip the weather went from pleasant warm days to Terrible Hot unbearable days. My siblings and I had a nice big nesting box with plenty of room but it started to become a hot box. Mum checked on us frequently and OH the blow flies came with a roar. Mum was frantic as she was on her way out to get my real mum and dad some more greens and stop and pick up a rescued chook from a friend. There were 2 empty nesting boxes so mum hurried took us out one by one and placed into one of the boxes so she could clean out the blow fly larva and disinfect well with s10 from the vet. box was wet and needed to dry before we could all go back in. She left to do her quick chores and upon return was putting stuff away and hears me and my siblings screaming for help...Another big yellow/brown lady is pecking us all and i got the worst of it being the smallest...Mum took us all out placed us back in our reg. home and rushed me in to clean me up. Luckily was just a few surface cuts no permanent damage. All is back to normal...my real mum and dad feeding us like mad to fatten us up to grow big and strong. Then the bad heat came again a week later...2 of my sibling fledged Uta the box was to hot in there they said and i said i was coming too....Oh i took a jump and boom i found the floor....ohh i was to young for that...My surigant mum found me I was close to death and she rushed me in and start to hydrate me and hand rear me.... and I am am big and strong thanks to my surigant mum and she has me in the house and I love her sooo much i give her kisses and snuggle on her neck to sleep ...Thanks mum when mum rescued me from death... 1 week later...... 3 weeks later...

Here Is Pinky my new adopted Galah...Hes 30 yrs old. His original owner had passed away several years ago. The family rehomed him to another woman who had a male Galah. Unfortantely she claimed he was agressive towards the other male and after 2 yrs she handed him over to a very nice lady who started up a rescue center after the fires. I had belonged to another forum at that time and she posted that he needed to be rehomed. Talked to hubby and went off to get him. He is such a lovely boy and not agressive at all. His cage sits next to the lori's and doesnt bother with them while hes out...needless to say Mr Magoo loves to pester him sometimes but he never gets upset. He can talk some "Hello...What ya doin" and whistles and loves to be scratched. I was told he had only been on a all pellet diet...sooo its been fun trying new foods out butt not with great sucess...seed he loves and millet....He does love chips but i rinse any salt off them.....tired sprouts a no go....will take time but we will get there..rice(brown) he ate first nite which is the pic here with Sticky Beak...he does like to steal food from your plate. Glad i have chooks too they get all he doest eat lol
