I was wondering, do you get a vet check-up after getting a new bird? I got it from a breeder, and she seems healthy, but do I get a vet check to make sure?

I know the wings are clipped, since the breeder did a hatchet job on them. But she still tries to fly anyway! Poor thing! Seems as though he chopped more than just the flight feathers. It aggrevated me, but she was so cute I didn't care. Hopefully, they'll grow back! Thanks for the kind words about her being pretty. She just loves to hear that!

Sorry, but we're really excited over here about our little Bailey, so here's some more pics. After this, I'll try to keep it to a minimum! I finally figured out what setting to use on my camera so that I have nicer quality pics. Geez took long enough, eh? Anyway, I thought these were amusing. I was actually waiting around to get some flight pictures, but Bailey wasn't cooperating, so here's what I got instead: "Do you know why she put me up here?""What's this thingy here?""Oh forget it, I've got an itch.""Back to business. Now, what's down here?""Whoooooaaaaaaa!""What? Who? Where?"Hope you enjoyed! BTW, in the last pic, that isn't a bald spot under her beak, it was just where she was preening herself & the feathers hadn't gone back in place yet!

Karen- Thanks! I think she's a Cinnamon Pearl, but I don't know much about mutations. teddybear- Thanks to you too! You're right, I already don't want to be without her. The cage is nice & big, but she doesn't spend any time in it anyway, so...

I keep looking at her pics! shes so beautiful!! your have to get your children to make her some scoubidous, Kaeci just loves to unknot them, its what i made his new toy out of. Every now and then we hear a plop, where hes got a bead undone. and whistle..they are really good whistlers..sorry im getting carried away..im just so pleased for you all What are scoubidous? Sorry, is that a dumb question?

lol, when i I looked at this thread's name, i thought "opps.." I was gonna say something, but it's hard to convey sarcasm through a message board & I didn't want to come accross as an a%&. LOL She was handfed, that was one of the things I was looking for in a tiel since I have two children fighting over who's going to hold her most of the day!

Her name is Bailey. She's sweet & loveable. I can't believe how tame she is! Super cuddly. She's always with us & so far the only time she's been in her cage is to sleep last night. I keep sticking her in there to eat, but other than that she's with us. What a great addition to our family!
