Went out to give the birds some apple this morning and found little 3 week old Twerp on the floor of the cage with it's head plucked and almost no skin on it's head. S/he was bleeding and very jumpy & in alot of pain. Both parents had clean faces so I don't know which one did it so I pulled it from the nest to handraise. My mum has christened her/him Twerp. S/he hadn't eated for some time and really scoffed down this offered food: Her/His home for the next week or so:

Who knows how my mum thinks of names! I'm sure she doesn't even know half the time!

Oh poor little baby, good job you rescued him when you did. Do you think he'll re-grow feathers on his head ok in time.
Hugs to both of you, clever you knowing how to hand rear them.
You are a hero to little Twerp, bless him.

Twerp is fading fast. S/he had a feed this morning but played in it mostly instead of eating. Right now (8.12 pm) mum has him/her laying on her chest with it's cage buddy over the back keeping it warm. It looks like shock has set in, I don't think little Twerp will see the night out.
