I know I should have waited until the new cage had arrived but its due in a week and so cute!!!!!!!!!!! Minty & Sky This is Harry, I was going to name one after Harry Potter but this one was so huge it was after Harry and the Henderson's which ties in with his nickname of Bigfoot, he kept trying to get his leg over any bird that would stand still, going up to the waving a foot! Kingfisher Blue or Blue for short, so named as the feathers are iridescent blue like that on a kingfisher. Blue the right way up with Harry. When the new cage arrives they will all be in together. Sky escaped on arrival but luckily did step onto offered perch to get her off the picture frame, and allow herself to be brought to the cage, clever Sky.

My big fella Harry is the star of the class at the moment, he has had a bath and tried carrot and also apple for the first time, and he's only been here a week today. Happy 1st week anniversary babies.

Cheers all, hey Orange thats just why she got her name. At the moment though both Sky and Minty have a delicate pink blush . They have invented a wonderful climbing game that starts by climbing over their cuttlefish, down the side of the cage, then up and over a 'pink' iodine block. They have pink heads, tails, bellies and primaries, very talented babies these! I've taken photos but color doesn't show up as it's only faint. Thanks for the comment nerwen I was wondering if his wing pattern made him a spangle. Is that why he has no necklace spots and is massive? He is the size of a fully grown budgie but still has baby bars . I'm wondering how much bigger he will get. Is Kingfisher Blue a spangle too, its wing patterns are very bold. Mind you, I think some of the contrast is because Sky and Minty are soooo small, they didn't look more than a few weeks old.

Thanks everyone, I love my babies although they are all growd up now so no more baby bars. Can't believe how much they have changed. Its nice to look back on your pictures so you do notice the difference. Harry, Sky and Minty will all sit on my finger or hand if I go in with food, and just the other day Blue sat on my finger for the first time, which I wrote about in Bird Blog under Blue was Brave. They are so inquisitive, I made them a sand pit out of the base of a bath that you would hang on the cage, since it didn't fit the new cage I removed the clear section and filled the base with sand and wooden toys and they love it. Whenever the sand pit is in the cage they dig out the beads from under the sand and throw them around the cage. No one is having a proper bath yet but they will paddle in it if I put a ball in there first. I seperated a toy made of three balls with a bell inside and left a ball in the water. The birds rotate the ball and drink the drips of water from it and will go into the water and throw the ball out then chase around the floor snatching it from each other. I must try and get some pictures of them doing this as its hilarious. Hugs Billie
