When I post replies the smileys are all lively in the add smilies section then sometimes they freeze. Also when I put my cursor over them the description doesn't match the smiley, for example the dancing 'nana says he is 'sad' and that's the icon that gets written in to the reply. Having said all that, the right one's always get displayed. Maybe my cursor is dyslexic poor little chap. It must be the over work. Also where do you all get the funky extra smilies from, I've opened the view all smilies and can't find them in there . Ohh they've all frozen, ohh what can they see that I can't, spooky

lets see if I can explain whats happening with the smiles for you There are standard smilies that come on a forum like this [sad] [happy] [cry] [angry] etc..there is also the option of replacing these standard smilies with new ones as you now use, when you do a post and click on the smilie you want it will only show in your text box as the "text" image of the standard smilie, if you do preview or post it will show up just fine. and the reason why some smilies or images do not show could be as simple as the image host being down or off line. if smilies freeze it could be that your on a slow server...or that particular smilie has gone on strike LOL

Best smileys is one! I get extra smileys there, Look in our Bird Crazy's Useful Links board, scoll down and a topic will say, Smileys - fun icons for your posts, click there and you'll see other smiley site links!
Do your smileys ONLY stop when you click on one?
Yeah, I think I know why they are not matched smiley links, well it is the type of admin thing for forums, I know cause' I host my own forum.
I usally stick with best smileys! By the way, I am using a VERY slow, non-responding (usally) computer. And my internet is fine, maybe it is because I have satilite?? I am like a geek on this stuff since I have been 11. Do you have Dial-up internet?
If your smiley has a blank backgrond and a X at the top-left of the picture, Back-click (with your mouse) on the X, and a menu will pop-up, find Show Picture and click that, that usally works for me, or maybe chickabee was right maybe the image hosting site is down.
