Aw that is a perfect picture! Question... do you often have cocks in the nestboxes? My hens don't usually allow the males in.

Yes, the cock birds go in all the time. The only male I haven't seen go in the box this round is the lutino male in the other post.

Little one is doing very well, the budgie parents diligently stuff this one with food all the time! I think this is a girl but until 'she' colours up some more I can't be certain. If this is a girl, she will likely be yellow, cinnamon & opaline - there is a little yellow on the head and rump which is why I think this may be a girl.

She died this afternoon sometime between 3-4.30pm (4-2.5hrs ago) I had pulled her on Sunday as the adoptive parents just weren't feeding her and one of them had started plucking her. By Sunday evening she was flapping after her food: I think she may have died of sour crop. I was sure I felt some food still in there this morning before leaving for work. She was very tired and I didn't want to force her so mum tried to give her a feed around 10am but said she wasn't really interested and she just went downhill from there. I blame myself as I gave her a name last night because we were all convinced she was going to make it. I named her Zena. R.I.P. Zena.
