Buying new birds is a good remedy for things. I couldn't decide which to buy so I bought all 3. A boy (2 months old) & 2 girls (both 4 months old). They are all very 'sweet' and are not shy about 'nibbling' the fingers. I've got the boy separate in the hopes he may become tame. The lady I bought them from, wow, her aviaries & breeding cage set up was amazing!! I have never seen birds in such top condition before. Her cockatiels were the size of galahs! She had an Albino, a white one with black on the back & some other colours. The budgies were great looking. She had a pair of opaline red rumps - I've never seen a male so brightly coloured!! I saw him from across the yard! There were bourkes & I think princess parrots too. All birds looked super healthy! In the Kakariki range she has: at least one split pied male, cinnamon yellow fronts, normal reds & cinnamon reds. A boy Kakariki who is their pet named Stumpy - mother bit toes off in nest - he talks! They have some breeding cages for sale, I'm hoping to get a tow bar installed on my car within a few weeks (dependant on finances). Shall we pose like this? No photography while we're eating!!

Forgot to mention, as I was so impressed with the condition of their aviaries, I didn't quarantine the girls. They are in the aviary wit the budgies & bourkes. Anyway, a heard one of the girls cry out in fear so I raced to the aviary and saw . . . an albino budgie hen preening her!! after a few seconds she stopped crying and cocked her head to be preened & looked like she was enjoying it!!

I've got 10 now. But, I simply have no choice but to buy at least 2 more. Truly! I have 4 boys and 6 girls so you see I really have no choice in the matter!
