With winter coming in my neck of the woods, a lot of people who are thinking of getting an aviary wonder how to heat it. We added the winter box last week... As you can see, it has a top, back and 2 sides, but is open on the bottom & front. There are 3 dowel sticks for them to roost on, and a heat lamp attached to the top with a screen covering it. This stays in until around march - april (an you also get a good view of the blinds i use too. these i roll down each night) remember, I am is southern california, so it doesnt get that cold here. In the middle of winter we can get to the low 40's but only on occasion does it get into the 30's for us.
