This is my breeding pair of King Parrots they have Two young each year. I take one to hand raise and they raise the other young.

Oh they are so beautiful....one of my favorite birds
We used to get a pair in our large trees out the back...they would come down to the ground to get any seed my birds had managed to get outside the avairy
I think they were eascaped birds...they seemed pretty used to humans being around and you could get very close....but just not quite close enough unfortunately *L*

alasse That is nice to see king,s in the wild. I have heard of king,s being up north. I to love the Kings. I would love to say that they are my favorite as well but I must admit I love all birds.
Getting a pair of breeders is not easy in Tassie I am lucky enough to have a good pair.

they are very pretty Fred. Do you mean they just have two chicks, or breed twice i love thier tree , bet they do too

The king log I got out in the bush it was hard to set the log up for them it was a 2 man job putting the log up but as I don't like strangers near my birds I put the log up myself. The King,s have 2 young each season the hen lays 2 eggs and hatch both.
Some breeders say king,s will nest twice but my pair only go once.
